The LG Prada II K900 & Prada Link
  Category: Gadget Reviews

Beauty and elegance yet practical, it’s currently one of the most stylish phone you can buy in the market. At least in my opinion it is.

Firstly, I have to admit one important detail. The truth is, when I first saw the Prada II, I loved it mostly because it’s Prada. But honestly, don’t let the brand blind you like I was. This phone is not inferior in technology wise.

It’s branded Prada, it’s black and glossy. Glossy enough to be used as a mirror even! It’s not just a phone, it’s also a fashion accessory. The Prada II (KF900) is almost alike in terms of design from the first Prada (KE850). The only difference is, it’s slightly thicker because of it’s slide out QWERTY keyboard. (I’m a big fan of QWERTY keyboards, especially sliding ones!) But it’s not bulky at all and would easily fit into the pockets of your jeans.

The Prada II runs on the LG OS. Basically have similar functions with most of the newer LG phones.

Honestly speaking, I know very little about gadgets and their functions. I didn’t have much problems with the phone. However, I realise that the phone has some connectivity problems. It’s sometimes tricky to get the WIFI working. The other major problem would be, I couldn’t send out SMS. But I found out it was because I didn’t have a 3G sim card, so it’s not the phone’s fault. Most people have already changed their sim cards to the 3G ones, but mines still living in the historical times (since I was 12 years old).

Either then that, I do think the phone is pretty simple to navigate. And I don’t really feel much delay when browsing around.

I love the fact that the sound is loud and clear, does miracles as a alarm… would instantly awaken you!

The thing I’m really impressed about, would be it’s camera. Like most LG phones currently, it’s 5.0megapixels. You might think that photos taken by phones doesnt always turn out clear. But this camera is really as good as any average camera.

Scenario: I was at a dinner and forgotten to bring my camera along. I wanted to take pictures and so I decided to use the Prada II’s camera. I usually don’t use my phone to take pictures cause its turns out too blurry.

I when home and uploaded the photos to my computer. My mum happen to walked in and said that the pictures was really well taken! She thought that I had a very good camera. And I said, the pictures were taken by the phone. She was shock.

You could also get another (sold separately) accessory to combine with the phone, the Prada Link. Which is a watch and no, it’s not just an ordinary watch with the Prada word on it.

Connected by bluetooth, this watch will alert you when you recieve a phone call or SMS, but of cause it’s still a watch that shows the time. You could read your SMS through the watch too. Helps alot when your phone is hidden in your bag and you didn’t hear it ring!

Also, there’s this function that most people might not think off. Which is… the Prada II and the Prada Link can be used as a “tracking device!” HA! Let me explain…

*story time! claps claps*

Scenario: I was at the IT Show with my sister. It was very crowded, and sometimes my sister would suddenly disappear. But somehow she always reappear out of no where. The reason was simple. She was wearing the Prada Link and I was holding onto her Prada II phone.

She told me whenever the watch beeps and shows that it’s disconnected from the phone, she will know that I’m far from her. So she walks back till the watch indicates that it’s connected, and she’ll be able to find me again!

The retail price of the LG Prada II is S$1,288 and S$688 for Prada Link.

  Palm Centro Smartphone
  Category: Gadget Reviews

When I first saw the Palm Centro Smartphone.. I stared at Sabrina and said, “Huh? Palm actually makes cellphones?”
That just tells you how much I know about cellphones. hehe!

Palm Centro Smartphone doesn’t only look simple, it’s also very user friendly! Probably the easiest smartphone I’ve ever used. Which makes it suitable for almost any age group to own. I once saw a little girl using a HTC Diamond.. I find it very strange! But for the Palm Centro Smartphone, it feels so simple therefore allowing it to blend in with anyone. Even a phone is considered a piece of fashion accessory, why do you think people always change their phones?

The first thing I always look for in a cellphone, will be the sound. For me, it’s very important to have a very loud ringtone because I’m half deaf (self-certified) and also I use my phone as a alarm clock. If it’s not loud enough, no matter how much I love the design and features of it, it just doesn’t work out for me. So, if you have the same problem as I do, being half deaf (self-certified). Here’s a good news.. Palm Centro is loud enough to wake the dead.

Looking at that tiny keyboard, you may think this phone would give you an unpleasant typing experience. But you’re wrong, Palm had done a wonderful job here. The keys are coated in a squishy plastic that keeps your fingertips from slipping. Therefore, it won’t slow down your typing speed.

I really like the camera on this phone, even though its only 1.3 megapixel. It takes fairly nice photos, it’s not clear but it’s really good for taking snapshots because it doesn’t seem to lag. Unlike some phones, which you need to wait afew seconds before the picture takes, this camera feels instant.

The only thing I dislike about this phone, would be, you can’t use music as your ringtone. Well, actually you can.. but it’s a little tricky. There are guides online that teaches you how to do it, but I assume using 3rd party programes. I hate the fact that you can’t just one click set music to ringtone.

Overall, I find this phone good. Really easy to use, my Mummy would love it. It has similar functions and works as good as those high-end smartphones, but its affordable, inexpensive to buy.

  Phillips BTM630 Micro Hi-Fi System
  Category: Gadget Reviews, Shynessa Loves

Afew days ago, BTM630 Micro Hi-Fi System came in a box and was placed by my bed when I was asleep. I woke up wondering who had place this pretty Hi-Fi system next to me.. It must be Santa Claus! I thought. When I started getting excited that Santa might really exist.. I hear a voice saying, “GO BLOG!” ..Tears could almost fall out of my eyes, just almost. Sabrina had just shattered my hopes of Santa’s existence, what a great way to kill a kid’s morales. (I’m just 10years old! ..(mentality?) trying to live in the past! Don’t spoil it.)

To compensate me of my cheated feelings.. I’ve decided to use this Hi-Fi system as a tool to annoy Sabrina, blasting punk genre music all day long whenever she’s at home. Muahaha!

Ok.. serious time.

When I was first introduced to Phillip’s BTM630 Micro Hi-Fi System at, Philips “Indulge Your Senses” Blogger Event. I thought to myself, Wow.. what a brain-cracking device with many functions. But when I actually have it now, I realise.. It’s very simple to use, a button for each fuction.

Although it might look heavy, its really quite light in weight, I could lift it up with one hand. Measurings at 390 mm (width) x 140.5 mm (height) x 200.5 mm (depth), I won’t say that it’s small, rather, it’s just like any average size Hi-Fi System. BTM630 gives an elegant feel, you would probably think it’s a very expensive set.. Truth is, it’s only retailing at SGD$329.

Music quality of BTM630 is good, doesn’t give you that irritating sharp piercing sound even when you play punk rock genre at full blast, it doesn’t feel loud but you can hear the sound clearly. (Ahh snap! I can’t annoy my sister with it then)

Philip’s seems to like giving most of their music system the Bluetooth capability. No suprise, BTM630 has this function too. I’m guessing they are aiming to market this to working class people, beacuse I see alot of business people using bluetooth. This function would probably attract those people. Who else will want to use a Hi-Fi to answer calls?

Then again, I always get phone calls when playing World of Warcraft, which means my hands are busy on the mouse and keyboard and I dont have a third hand to hold the phone, I hate putting on the earpiece and my loudspeaker function on the phone is useless.. this would be a great way to answer calls for me from now onwards! Goodbye painful neck!

Philips Bloggers Event @ Scarlet Hotel.
  Category: Gadget Reviews, Shynessa Loves

Honestly, I when for the freebies, cause Jiejie said there was gonna be a free mp3 player. (What? My boyfriend needed a mp3 player. He keeps stealing my IPod.)

But, It ended up to be fun! I got to sit in a Limousine which I’m still wondering why they plan that. But was a cute idea!

Doesn’t it feel soooo luxurious? JEALOUS? YAPYAP!

The food at the hotel was really really yummy, I probably enjoyed that the most throughout the whole event. *FOOD!!!! YUM YUM YUM* Even though it was just snacks! It was already good!

I’m going back to that hotel soon to stay for a night and order lotsa room service food then cry after that cause the bill will be a bomb! YAY! I’m starving for moreeee.

*Continues eating*

I was happily munching my food went suddenly.. a noisy person started talking. He was presenting to us.. Philip’s new LCD flat TV! which I think was the main thing in the event?

Philips 42PFL9803H.

To someone that plays games and watches TV alot (that’s me!).. A good monitor would be your key ingredient!

Honestly, I wasn’t really listening to the guy that was yapping away. But at least it made me stop eating and stare at the gorgeous TV.. that I was gonna get one day to play my Xbox, WII & PC games on.. It’ll look MAD! I wanna get it now to play World of Warcraft on it!!

Compare this to the current LCDTV’s we have now, the Philips 42PFL9803H is much clearer. I don’t know how to explain it. But using my eyes and not my ears to listen what’s in this TV. The pictures on it looks really sharp. It almost feels real. Picture Perfect!

Wanna know more about this really cool looking television? Why bother asking a idiot that cares only about food? Visit your local stores to find out. (not sure if it’s selling yet though?)

Next we have.. BTM630 Micro Hi-Fi System. They were introducing this to us and I remembered seeing it somewhere before.

Someone in the event actually asked for the price for it, but the person presenting it didn’t even know it? So, last night.. I found it listed in a magazine Courts had send to my house.

SGD$329 Acceptable price for what it can do. For me, I would rather have something simple to use. But if you like lotsa funtions all in one, this could be your future IPod speakers!

So.. That’s about it.. I wasn’t interested in the other stuff during this event. Mostly just LOVE the FOOD and the LCDTV of cause!

Ohya, inside the goodie bag is the Philips GoGear 2GB mp3 player. It’s so small & the radio is super clear! Not bad for something thats free! Almost wanted to keep for myself and not give to my Mister Boyfriend. TOO BAD, he snatched it! You can get it at BEST Connections for SGD$99, and probably many other places.

Thanks Princessa, my dear sister for inviting me to this event and whoever else which I was suppose to thank.. Thanks for welcoming me!

Invite me for more events that have food serving in them okay?! But don’t bother putting me in the pictures. I’ll waste your camera space and spoil the pictures.
