  Palm Centro Smartphone
  Category: Gadget Reviews

When I first saw the Palm Centro Smartphone.. I stared at Sabrina and said, “Huh? Palm actually makes cellphones?”
That just tells you how much I know about cellphones. hehe!

Palm Centro Smartphone doesn’t only look simple, it’s also very user friendly! Probably the easiest smartphone I’ve ever used. Which makes it suitable for almost any age group to own. I once saw a little girl using a HTC Diamond.. I find it very strange! But for the Palm Centro Smartphone, it feels so simple therefore allowing it to blend in with anyone. Even a phone is considered a piece of fashion accessory, why do you think people always change their phones?

The first thing I always look for in a cellphone, will be the sound. For me, it’s very important to have a very loud ringtone because I’m half deaf (self-certified) and also I use my phone as a alarm clock. If it’s not loud enough, no matter how much I love the design and features of it, it just doesn’t work out for me. So, if you have the same problem as I do, being half deaf (self-certified). Here’s a good news.. Palm Centro is loud enough to wake the dead.

Looking at that tiny keyboard, you may think this phone would give you an unpleasant typing experience. But you’re wrong, Palm had done a wonderful job here. The keys are coated in a squishy plastic that keeps your fingertips from slipping. Therefore, it won’t slow down your typing speed.

I really like the camera on this phone, even though its only 1.3 megapixel. It takes fairly nice photos, it’s not clear but it’s really good for taking snapshots because it doesn’t seem to lag. Unlike some phones, which you need to wait afew seconds before the picture takes, this camera feels instant.

The only thing I dislike about this phone, would be, you can’t use music as your ringtone. Well, actually you can.. but it’s a little tricky. There are guides online that teaches you how to do it, but I assume using 3rd party programes. I hate the fact that you can’t just one click set music to ringtone.

Overall, I find this phone good. Really easy to use, my Mummy would love it. It has similar functions and works as good as those high-end smartphones, but its affordable, inexpensive to buy.
